I Made a Matching Set
from One Set of Measurements
I cut into a fabric I actually loved and the fit was right the first time. No muslin. No adjusting. I just printed the pattern, cut it out, and sewed it. That's what custom sewing patterns drafted from your own measurements feel like.
The set I'm wearing in these photos is a stretch knit tank and a stretch knit skirt. Both pieces came from the same measurements I entered into ALTR HOUSE. I didn't re-enter anything between patterns. I just switched bases and downloaded. If you want to see what I mean, you can open the generator here and try it free.
I also shared the whole thing over on Instagram if you want to see it. Watch the reel here.
Stretch knit tank and stretch knit skirt. Both custom sewing patterns drafted from the same measurements.
Why Custom Sewing Patterns Actually Fit
Most patterns are drafted for a standard set of proportions. If yours don't match exactly, you're adjusting. Lengthening the bodice, adding to the hip, taking in the waist. Even after all that work, the fit still might not be quite right.
A custom sewing pattern starts from your measurements instead of a size chart. Your bust, your waist, your hip, your shoulder width. The ease for stretch knit fabric is already calculated in. You're not adjusting to fit the pattern. The pattern is already built for you.
Good to Know
ALTR HOUSE patterns are designed for stretch knit fabrics. Jersey, ponte, rib knit, and similar fabrics with 4-way stretch all work well. The ease is drafted in for knit, so you don't need to add it yourself.
How I Made the Set
I entered my measurements once into the Design Studio. From there, every pattern I generate uses them automatically. I chose the stretch knit tank base, picked a boat neckline, set my crop length, and downloaded. Then I switched to the stretch knit skirt, chose midi length, and downloaded that too. Same measurements. No re-entering anything.
Enter Your Measurements Once
Bust, waist, hip, shoulder width, and a few others. Saved to your Design Studio and used for every pattern you generate.
Choose Your Base and Style
Pick the stretch knit tank, tee, or skirt. Choose your neckline and length. The generator drafts your custom sewing pattern from your measurements in real time.
Download, Print, and Cut
Your pattern downloads as a PDF. Print at home, tape the pages together, and cut. No adjustments needed before you cut into your fabric.
Both pieces cut from the same measurements. The tank and skirt are separate custom sewing patterns, but they work as a set because they start from the same body.

What's in the Generator Now
Right now there are three stretch knit bases: the tee, the tank, and the skirt. All three use the same measurements. You can switch between them without re-entering anything. More bases are coming soon.
If you've ever sewn something that still didn't fit right after all that work, this is what I made ALTR HOUSE for. Try it free for 7 days and see what it feels like to cut into something that was actually made for your body.
