Armholes drafted from your numbers
The armhole comes from the measurements you enter, not a size row, which is the right starting point for a tank top pattern with no armhole gaping.
Altr House
No sleeves means nowhere for a poor fit to hide. ALTR HOUSE builds a custom tank top sewing pattern from your own body measurements, so it's a made-to-measure tank top pattern rather than a nearest-size guess. Enter your numbers, pick the neckline, length, and fit in the generator, and download a sew-ready file in US Letter, A4, A0, or SVG.
Why a custom tank top pattern?
Tank tops are unforgiving. A gaping armhole, a neckline that drifts forward, or a hem that stops in the wrong place is obvious from across the room. A custom fit tank top pattern starts from your body instead of a grading table, so the parts that matter most are drafted around you.
The armhole comes from the measurements you enter, not a size row, which is the right starting point for a tank top pattern with no armhole gaping.
Your collar measurement decides where the neckline begins, so it lands where you'd expect.
Choose the length in the Tank Top base before generating. There's nothing to chop or extend on paper afterward.
Bust, waist, and hip drive the shape, which makes this a women's tank top sewing pattern that follows your body. Your measurements stay in Design Studio for the next version.

What to measure
Wear the bra or layer you plan to wear under the finished tank, and follow the on-screen guide in the generator as you measure.

Best Fabric For a Tank Top
This is a knit tank top sewing pattern, and a tank is mostly edges: the neckline and both armholes do the work. That makes recovery the thing to look for. A stable jersey or rib knit that springs back after stretching is a sensible place to start. Very drapey knits can ripple around the openings, and very rigid ones can feel tight across the bust.
New to knits? Sew a test in a similar fabric and check how the edges behave. Use the generator's measurement guide rather than adapting a woven pattern.
Included
Print at home on 8.5 × 11 paper, then tile and assemble.
The same tiled home-print workflow, sized for A4.
Large-format A0 for a copy shop, or SVG for a tank top sewing pattern projector setup or digital cutting.
Your measurements and pattern stay saved so you can regenerate.
Who it's for
Start from a base instead of drafting a tank block. It works as an easy tank top sewing pattern for beginners who are comfortable with knits.
Skip tracing a new size every time the style changes.
Shoulder, bust, and length do not have to match one size row.
If graded tanks keep missing, begin with your measurements.

Yes. The Tank Top base generates the pattern from the measurements you enter, not from a standard size row. Choose the available style options, then download the file. You can save those measurements in Design Studio and reuse them the next time you generate.
Enter your bust, waist, hip, shoulder, shoulder to bust, bust to waist, waist to hip, and top length. Measure with a flexible tape and follow the guide next to each field so the labels match what you enter. Then pick your neckline and generate the file.
The armhole is generated from the measurements you enter instead of a graded size row, which helps avoid the gaping a mismatched size can cause. A test garment is still a good idea the first time, especially in a new knit.
Yes, if you are comfortable sewing a knit. You do not draft the block yourself. You enter measurements, pick the options in the base, and sew from the downloaded file. A test garment is still a good idea the first time.
It is built for knit fabric. A stable jersey or rib knit with stretch that recovers is a reliable choice. Very slippery or very stiff knits will change the fit, so test a similar fabric before you cut your final yardage.
